The Capetta Group has been operating in the wine field for more than fifty years. Founded in the 1953 by Capetta Francesco, the Group is now run by his family, who following his insight and skill and paying particular attention to the modern technological and marketing evolution, has projected the Group towards the future, giving it a successful image and top position in the sector.
Our wines originate from the grapes of the farmers who have been supplying the Company for years, from the farms owned by the family and from the best local co-operatives.
The cellar, located in S. Stefano Belbo, in the heart of Asti and Moscato d’Asti DOCG’s production land, covers an area of 50.000 square metres, of which 20.000 covered and has a total capacity of 100.000 Hl. of which 70.000 are refrigerating tanks for the musts and wines storage at a low temperature.
The second fermentation autoclaves capacity for the sparkling wines production, is of 20.000 Hl.; all sparkling wines are produced following the Charmat method and using selected yeasts, carefully chosen according to the characteristics of every single product.
The production potentiality is 100.000 bottles per day, using completely automatized facilities during the whole process, from the bottle sterilisation up to the final pallettization system.
The quality checks, during the whole proceeding, are made in an ultra-modern laboratory owned by the Group, by a technical staff of four oenologists.
The whole production and marketing system has been certified in conformity with the quality standard UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 in February 2000 and UNI EN ISO 14001:1966.
